        Amazing place

Amazing place to stay. Our purpose for this trip was to get away from the city, relax and try to find peace of mind. This place certainly helped us in doing so. The premises were very green and well maintained. Peaceful environment. There were some LED lights put up in the evening which made it even more beautiful. Place to play badminton, carom and TT (though the table was a little broken). The food they served was also good. Only problem was that there were a lot of monkeys on the roof so we had to be a little aware about them.

        First stop in India, Mumbai!

        ... 579 rupees...what a little...I thought it's started already!

So, we got the our taxi which I reckon was from the 1950's (painted amazing bright colours inside) and the guy shot our bags in the roof and tied them up. I looked at him and he looked blind in one eye and about 70, so off we went! We were so close to lorries, people, rickshaws that I thought we were definitely going to crash! Got to the hotel and sat in a corridor for 2 hours ( I was half ...

We speak of the revamped St Pancras in London but here we find the working and untouched originals - a majestic central post office and the Victoria railway terminus of grand and large proportions; a Dickensian High Court open to visitors and worth a visit with its bewigged barristers pleading cases in English; the hidden 150 year old Sassoon ...

        10. Driving - Crazy auto rickshaw drivers somehow avoid accidents yet swerve uncontrollably through traffic.
        11. Taxes - drink tax, service tax, alcohol tax, normal vat which all vary from place to place.
        12. MRP - Retail prices are printed on every product (very handy).

We arrived late at night into Kathmandu and went to the hotel which was filled with peace, quiet and air conditioning - and that filled us with a sense of relief after a brilliant but draining three weeks on the road. We had long showers with HOT WATER, watched our first TV since England and cleared out the free food basket. That night we slept like babies. We had a very interesting days ...

... that we will make that flight. If it doesn't fly ***** gonna go down.....

Well we made the 1.30pm flight to Mumbai and finally got to our hotel about 5hrs late. This would not have mattered in most cases but we decided to splash out on the Oberoi hotel as it was our last stop off before heading home. So we were a bit ****** to be missing the nice comforts of a pool and clean white sheets, television and the like. The hotel kindly upgraded us to a ...
