... noticed my difficulties with gropey mcghee (yeah, thanks for intervening) & would like to apologize for his country. As you do. (In that case, I'm sorry for slack-jawed youths in manchester yelling 'go home, Paki' to every Indian person they encounter. Not that it's just Mancunians...)

... a little hillside wooden hotel on the outskirts of the town, it was dusty and very basic, but the big bedroom, covered with threadbare rugs and tapestries, and the big picture of a smiling Lord Shiva over the bed, seemed very auspicious (Ingo may disagree, he was still traumatized by the Lucknow mosquito apocalypse, so he set ready all his counter-insect artillery on the spot… :P )

We spend some time in the gardens and in the meditation hall. So peaceful. A indian guy called vippin and a australian lady and talk to them for a while.

We head back to the hotel and have a early night in preperation for our early start in the morning. Really looking forward to it!

Early on 7th October we pull ourseves together and head for the ashram. I give swamiji some sweets and he accepts but seems a little embarassed ...
