To start our adventure we walked over the beautiful suspension bridge to find ourselves in the maze, we went at night, tried to use the stars and moon to guide us through the maze. ... Even after our showers, our towels still had red streaks on them, from dust that was hard to wash off.

We went and had lunch at a beautiful restaurant called Santorini at one of the hotels, with the tables next to the pool, with waterfalls and ponds all around. With the exchange rate of 7.5, it makes eating out really fun, paying $A for steak and such.

... rifle out, just in case an animal were to attack our truck.

We saw 4 of the big 5 in Pilansberg - elephants, lions, rhinos, and buffalo. The only one we were missing was the leopard. Plus we saw tons of zebras and impalas, and one good sized group of giraffe. The lions we saw were sleeping in a bushes, so we didn't see much of them. They told us that the early morning or night time safaris are better for seeing lions in action.
