... back in Bristol. That was easily accomplished within the first 30 minutes. We pulled up in the lay-by specifically reserved for acquiring change for the toll and scampered to the bridge for a few photos. Naughty. Then it was over the bridge paying our one puns toll to the next stop at Bath, or more specifically the Pump Rooms, Bath. We don't really have time to actually walk round these places and we certainly don't have the budget to pay entry fees, so to visit Bath ...

Dear all, We are in Plymouth tonight and head off to Stone Henge (again) and then to London. Yeah! So anyway this is a castle ruin but still very interesting. It is basically a ...

... off the plane to be loaded onto a later flight! I also had to spend £1 on an egg of 4 clear plastic bags so that I could put my few carry on liquids into a bag even though we weren't on an international flight! Ridiculous. Anyway, flight went ok. On arrival at St. Mary's we were taxied to the other side of the Island where we caught a jet boat over to Tresco a Island. We were then ...

BICTON PARK BOTANICAL GARDENS AND BICTON COLLEGE

A travel blog entry by rhiannon.harris on Sep 12, 2014

Visit to the gardens and to the college to see the famous avenue of Araucaria araucana (monkey puzzle trees). Particularly impressed by the Italian garden and the Palm House, which is actually older than the one at RBG Kew. A treat to see the monkey puzzle avenue too - the trees are the largest of their kind that I've ...
