... 1870, and is still in use today for weekly services.  After walking past the Catholic Church I run into the University of Manchester, which has beautiful buildings and is located right next to MMU.   All the buildings belonging to Manchester Metropolitan University are located around a central park!  The park is always filled with students eating lunch and just enjoying the view.  MMU has over 30,000 students, therefor you rarely see the same person ...

... ahead of us it would have been rude not to find the nearest bar! Prosecco at 08.20 is a delight! At this point we had a brain wave, we made a pact that at each new destination (bear in mind there are a fair few) we will have a bottle of Prosecco. ... close to the thriving hub....but it's the nicest looking location and place. (London hostel still had the 'best' location). Managed to see few things today: - Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) - has been a while since I went to a museum. This one was very good. Well set out, lots to see, interactive. Basically a tribute to science in industry - so gas, steam, electricity, textiles, trains, planes ...

... walking trails, a zoo, children's play areas, and ponds. The museum is on the grounds where Captain Cook was born although the little shack-like home is no longer standing.
