    ... than the Manhattan chowder. It was a little chilly outside in the gazebo, so after we'd eaten, it was back to our room for a coffee and another glass of wine, before the kids left after 11pm ! I didn't realize how late it was ! It worked out really well getting the food as "take out" because it's easier with the kids, and also we could drink our own wine without corkage - and no tips involved ! Bonus ...

    Even though I'm facing a 17 hour flight which is somewhat daunting, I'm feeling slightly ok knowing that I'm well equipped with Ativan and Ambien :p Of course as luck would have it, I'm sitting directly in front of TWO school trips: an eight grade class trip to DC and another middle school choir.     ... Except a moose. But oh well (see attached image)... We visited Twin Peaks and saw a beautiful outlook of the city. It is crazy to me how people are perfectly content to basically live on top of one another. Thank God for the country. Apparently, when Grandpa was last in San Francisco, he and Grammy visited the same place and got the same view around 1982 or 83. That was pretty neat.     ... But no! It took us about another hr. to figure out the map and the one way systems! The maps seemed to be wrong! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! But after a stressful drive! We eventually got there! Very very exhausted, and a bit shocked! We got to our room and locked ourselves in! But to be honest we were in the safest place at that point, as there were police everywhere! And the roads were blocked.
