We learned quite a bit about Salzburg and its history, as well as information and settings for the film. I remember when I saw the Sound of Music years ago, I loved the music. Some classes even got up and danced a line dance to Rocky Top Tennessee!! We gave out 60 t-shirts from Walker Valley ...

The highway was characterised by many long road tunnels and also ski villages and fields. Thick snow lay on the hills and roadside. Our stop at Liechtenstein was disappointing. It was raining, most shops were shut and it seemed seemed nothing like a principality. However for three francs each ...

After watching the Sound of Music we were ready to discover this beautiful city.

We found a few movie locations including the Mirabell Gardens and the gnomes, wandered the streets in Old Town and the quaint Getreidegasse shopping street.

We spent a good 4+ hours in Haus der Natur, the Natural History and Science Museum.
