After 27 days of travelling across Bali and Java tonight will be our last in this country. We have just taken advantage one last time of the strength of the Pound over the Rupiah and Hatty has had a morning of spa pampering for considerably under 10 pounds. We are in Bogor and had a pretty easy bus trip here, we definately should have taken more buses earlier on, but did manage to do some things in Bandung as the city came back to life towards the evening. Had a look around the city's botanic...
Bogor, Java, Indonesia jonnyw... cold, wind and more darkness. It took another 20 minutes for the sun to start rising which meant both of us huddled under a blanket....but it was well worth the wait. It was picture perfect...on one side we had the sunrise over the mountains and on the other side, we had the three mountains creating beautiful photo opportunities.
Once we got back, we had breakfast and caught the bus outta there. We then had a 10 hour trip to Yogyakarta.
... with people we met to verify the existence of the cafe as we went down the road, Each time getting different directions. Finally one really nice guy said he'd show us the way, then yelled to someone across the street to find out where he was going. As we followed him, suddenly we he passed one and we pointed to it.
Looking back, maybe we shouldn't have have said anything and just followed him. The connection speed was numbingly slow and the ...

I was so excited, because it has been a while since this has happened...and as much as I enjoy chatting with the local guys, every now and then I need this too! So it was a night of good ...

Bromo, Indonesia bafreux... we forgot was that the torrential rain (it had now stopped) had turned the river into a raging torrent....But it was the only way home. Bukit Lawang, Sumatra, Indonesia adrian.gfcI felt like I was staring at a scene from the dawn of time, either that or The Land of the Giants. Looking at the photos I was seriously considering superimposing some pterodactyls on top. This place was just unreal. The fact that we encountered it with very little sleep makes me wonder whether the memories are actually part of a dream. We were awoken at 3am and piled into a jeep to be taken to the summit of a nearby viewing ...
