... Laura in the room, and took the boys downstairs to try out the bowling. It is a 9 pin game that uses a smaller ball with no finger holes. We got instructions from the older German gentleman, who turned the game on for us. Instructions were in rapid German, so we just followed the few simple rules about where to roll the ball from (which they made clear through repetition when we were obviously not getting it), and had fun until Laura rejoined us and it was time ...

It was a glorious, sunny morning for our 40 minute drive up the valley to the ski area. I didn't mention yesterday that in typical fashion for us, we kind of put off making hotel reservations until pretty late, so we didn't pick a ski area so much as found a good hotel and then found the closest ski area to the hotel. ... The leaves are at their best stage right now, golden, orange and yellow. We sat on a bench and watched them fall. However, if you’re looking for balls to the wall excitement instead of falling leaves, you can watch the many bird fights that happen in this park. We witnessed a pretty epic duck fight (presumably over mating rights or territory) and another squabble between a peacock and a rather spirited and brave crow. In the end, ...

I've been going about a mile a minute since getting here, so getting to settle down and write a quality blog post has been quite a struggle. A lot of cool things have happened over the past few days, so here we go. On Friday, I had the opportunity to visit Kunsthaus Graz, a museum in the middle of the city. It's very interesting how the museum fits into the surrounding area as to me, it looks like a blob that just kind of rests ...
