    Love it here in Passau. Our last stop in Germany. Our guide who was French told us that Hitler fell in the river here as a young child and someone saved him. Pity. The old town is beautiful. They have a problem with flooding as they are on a peninsula with 3 rivers. The Danube, the Inn and the Iltz. A lot of the buildings have had to have all the plaster removed and replaced to second floor ...

    ... tour included lunch in a cavernous, dark restaurant. We had fresh trout which we enjoyed, but the wine was very bland.
    Cesky Krumlov is my favorite medieval town thus far- indeed, the entire day was a highlight of the tour for me. I think that being over my ailment was a contributing factor to my enjoyment.
    I'm actually finishing this blog off on Friday but hope to get today's blog off to you by tomorrow morning.

    ... by mid afternoon, dressed in typical Bavarian costume. Yesterday, when we were in Regensburg, was Wednesday 13 th May, the day before Ascension Day, which is a public holiday in Germany. I think the young ones were about to visit the beer halls and wine bars, no doubt to celebrate the night away. Good luck to them!

    ... two hours to Deggendorf where we found the ship! It is very nice. After a quick shower, went to learn about Monday's travel plans and then dinner. Ready for a good night's sleep!!

    I have some neat pictures on my phone but cannot get them onto my iPad. Will use ipad and real camera tomorrow. For now, I am heading to bed!!! Blessings to all.

    ... poles. Mark and I anxiously looking at the bike paths running alongside the rail tracks.
    Out in the countryside again; seeing solar panels, very large agriculture fields, wind farms, the church spires have changed from the modified onion dome to the brisk, no nonsense tall slim orange tiled style.
