    ... Oberhausen, which is located across the river. This was a 10 minutes walk up many steps to be rewarded with a magnificent view of Passau and the surroundings. Well worth the walk in the heat. The temperature reached 35 degrees. Once up there we enjoyed a refreshing beer before walking back down to return to the ship.     Captain Ralph Ramus had an important announcement for us last evening before our daily brief by Tony, the tour director. The Captain informed us that we had a problem ahead of us that threatened to severely disrupt our schedule.     Arrived at Linz today which is the third largest city in Austria. Population 200,000, and is home Austria's largest steel company. From here we travel in the historic Majestic Emperor train to Salsberg. The train is very ornate and gives you an idea of what it was like to travel in style so many years ago.
