Passau is a city of 50000 at the confluence of three rivers, the Danube,LLz and Inn.St Stephen's cathedral is one of the most beautiful I have seen. Full of art. There is an organ concert every weekday at 1200. Amazing sound as over 1900 pipes are part of this 2nd largest church organ in the world. There are many Neat shops and restaurants. They are recovering from the devastating floods of 2013 so there is much ...

Passau is the beginning of many bike tours along the river to Vienna....about 300 km away. Back to Germany ...

... bands playing on them and balloons light up. There was a fireworks display done to the beautiful blue Danube waltz, but it wasn't as straight forward as that. In the middle of the show some helicopters came and hovered over the show and all of the lights on the boats were extinguished, then they left and the show resumed with a more electronic version of the waltz. As soon as it was all over we sailed, around ...

... for the trip down the Danube to arrive in Linz late afternoon. St Stephen's church was the highlight of the short tour - a barque style church with the largest organ in Europe. Very ornate decoration but I must admit they are beginning to look much the same. These old towns centre around an old cobblestone square, usually surrounded by cafés and tourist shops with a fountain or statue in the middle and one or more old churches at the ...
