      Nightmare In The Dells

      from

This hotel is expensive, falsely advertises and has unprofessional and rude management and front desk people. Dont bother to complain about over charging and not getting the room you made resevations for because it will only make you feel worse. The waterpark is nothing like it advertises it has . Wis. dells has many other nice clean hotel/resorts where you can have a enjoyable vacation with friendly service at much cheaper rates. We only spent one night at wintergreen and moved to Treasure Island, we saved 75.00. Our plans were to spend 3 nights there. Wintergreen has nothing to offer accept rude service, contruction going on , overcharging and nothing to satisify customer complaints. We have stayed at many places worldwide and have never complained and had such poor customer seervice..

Not a Waterpark but a nice place

      from

If you want a nice place to just relax and soak up the sun this is it.

If you have smaller children and don't want to spend your days chasing

them all around this is the place. You parents can place your lounge

chair between the pools and watch your kids and still spend a little

time with your spouse. Our kid was 7 when we went and enjoyed it.

The rates are reasonable, its clean, great service and an excellent restaurant on premises. One downfall is it is not on the Dells strip, but still close enough. A nice place to stay if your interested in doing the attractions at the Dells and not looking for a Waterpark.

Best stay ever in the dells

      from

We come to the Dells every year and this is the first time we stayed at the Wintergreen and we loved it. The facilities (waterpark and restaurant)were just what we needed for my husband and 3 kids ages 3 to 11 . I would have to say the Wintergreen has the nicest/cleanest rooms in the Dells. I have stayed at the larger resorts, but the Wintergreen has a relaxing charm to it that the larger resorts do not. If you want avoid the crowds and have a wonderful family vacation, the Wintergreen is the place to stay in Wisconsin Dells. We will be back agains soon.

      Thanks.

      OK

      from

I think for the price compared to other hotels in the Dells we received what we paid for. Our daughter is only 2 and the water park they offered was perfect for her. I think the photos in the brochure are deceiving. The last night there, we had problems with children knocking on our door, people yelling through the hallway and the construction outside our window made the whole experience less relaxing and more on edge.

      Sorry Wintergreen You lose

      from

Wintergreen as to offer, rude front desk service, uncleaned rooms, expensive rates. Water park is not like advertized at all, only for small, real small children, who will freeze in the cold water. That is if you can make it past the overcharging rude woman at the front desk.

The Dells has many other places to stay which are cheaper and friendly.Dont be fooled by false advertizing of Wintergreen. Dont let this place wreck your vacation.

      Great!

      from

Clean room, friendly staff. We had a really good time. The water park area was nice too. The only complaint I have is that the pull-out couch was very VERY uncomfortable. Otherwise, great deal for the price.

      Poor Customer Service

      from

If looking for customer service, keep driving. We were charged more then our confirmed reservation. Then we were not given the type of room reservation was confirmed for. The woman at the front desk was rude and embarassing. We travel alot and this was the worst most decieving hotel/resort we have ever been to. jan belal

      Hated the Wintergreen Resort

      from

We went to the resort for a romantic and relaxing night to celebrate a special event. We were stuck in the middle of an all-night drunken revelry. We were exhausted by morning. Nothing was done to control the noise level. It was the worst (and yet expensive) hotel experience we have ever had. To top it all off - the desk person was rude and nothing was done to compensate us for the inconvenience.

      Great for Tots

      from

My husband and I had a great time at the hotel with our 1-year old. We stayed during the week and we were one of two families in the pool are. The pool is great for small kids. The water temperature was a little cool, but we adjusted. We loved the privacy. The hotel staff was incredibely friendly and accomodating.

      Vacation

      from

This is a wonderful little resort, especially if you have small children. The rooms are clean and cozy. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. My 2 year old had a ball in the Dolphin pool. It's been 4 months since we were there, and he still is talking about how much fun he had there! It is also very affordable! I highly recommend it! Michelle

We found a wonderful cafe for lunch and had fried cod fish and clam chowder. We left there and drove to Wollersheim Winery which was voted best winery in 2012. It is located in Prairie du Sac, ...

What a beautiful day! We drove down to Madison, Wi and then decided we liked the countryside better. Madison is a nice city though. We saw so many beautiful farms and small country churchs driving through small country towns. We have seen many flocks of wild turkeys and then we drove into Amish country which is ...

So we drove north, too cold for the goats on the roof, kept driving north, missed the turn to Ellison's Bluff, kept on going up to Door ...

Checked out Little Norway, so disappointed its closed, it is in a gorgeous valley. We were also disappointed in the lack of trolls along trollway in Mt Horeb, though those that are there are very cute. We had pizza at the Grumpy Troll. Nice staff, good food, recommended. Too cloudy today for a good sunrise. It was going to be a long trip today so we headed out early. Canoeing and Cheese were the main goals.

First stop was the MidContinent Railroad museum in North Freedom. I'm not much for trains, so this was a quick stop, interesting for a train buff I'm sure. Next was Ableman's Gorge and Heise Rock. It has been fun to learn a ...
