... walk and the following day a cycle to St Gilgen town and further along the lake shore. I still take great delight in my “new” bicycle.

Salzburg was good too. We met Dawn at the airport and went to explore the charming old town. Even in the rain it has something special – like hot chocolate, lovely buildings and the riverside walk fringed in autumn glory.

... We also arrive at the Saturday market as they are beginning to disband. We invest in some cheese and consider, but reject, roast chicket from a spit, and/or fish soup from the fishman. Just in time we purchase return ferry tickets to St Wolfgang down the lake - €30 for two.
