    Day 4 - Monday, 8th September, 2014

After a few cups of coffee we rode through beautiful Luxembourg countryside, in a south eastly direction, until we reached the town of Remich which is on the Moselle River. A short ride across the bridge located there saw us in our 4th country in 3 days, Germany.

We then rode through hills and forest on very good roads until we reached the town on Mettlach, located on the Saar River, ...

The stellplatz in Baden Baden was a 15 minute bike ride along a lovely riverside trail to the city centre. We explored the casino in a very old and very opulently styled building along with several tour groups. I had to drag Eric away from tagging on to the champagne banquet one of the groups was being led to. He thought no-one would notice a couple of extras but since we were about 20 years younger than the group average, I disagreed! Just across the park from ...

... and we stayed up to watch another light show at 10pm with light rain adding to the charm!

After briefly exploring the cathedral the next morning and a stop for coffee, we took time to wander around the Isles de France canals having lunch on a park ench and some conversation with two cycling Dutch couples ...
