It's extremely early when the alarms buzzes at 3:50am. The shuttle is taking us at 4:30 for our 6am departure. The kids struggle to dress, sleepy eyed and grumpy. Laden with bags we kiss Christine goodbye, she just had to see us off, and hop on the shuttle. The airport is practically empty with only a skeleton crew at TSA. Thankfully, Starbucks is open amid the throng of darkened shops. We grab coffee and breakfast then walk to the gate. ...

motorbikes. There was a WWII exhibition on as part of it so they had
a bunch of war vehicles too. The females were bored, the males seemed
more interested, we were only there about half an hour.

... of a challenge than the nice trek down. After my hike while out exploring some more, I made some new friends from Alabama who I ended up going on my second hike with the following day. We started out early and trekked the 12 mile roundtrip hike straight down, with a 3,110ft elevation loss out to Plateau Point where we had an amazing 360 degree canyon view. We were right out in the middle of the canyon and could even stare down and see ...

This zoo is sooo big, you can't get the benefit of it all in one day. I will have to come back to San Diego to see the rest. Hint Hint.
I liked the gorillas best. There was one 45 years old. I felt sorry for him. He lost his harem,, because he was too old. But in his retirement, he got to just lay around. sex isn't everything.
    I guess.
