A slightly later start today, as we got picked up from our hotel at around 7:45am. After paying for our tickets at the bus depot we headed over to Boulder City, a short drive out of Las Vegas. ... won some and walked to the next Casino with only $75. We wandered along the strip to the MGM Grand where Mike taught me how to play the Wheel of Fortune (not that it was hard!) We started with $20 and walked away with $100 after giving up $20 in tips and playing for about an hour and a half. Let's not forget the free drinks!!! All up we had a good night, finally hitting the sack about 1am... just in time for our 5am start the next day!

... at least half the crowd was carrying and consuming some kind of alcoholic beverage in brightly colored plastic glasses of varying shapes (Eiffel Tower, footballs, flower vases and the like). The costumes of the Vegas clientel tended to be either shorts/t shirts or wedding attire. I've never seen so many scantily dressed, cleavage laden, and tightly woven women anywhere; and so many high heels ...

... wanted a pretzel. Marc was like!!!! The pretzels are all the way over in NY NY. We walked through Luxor and Excalibur and across the street to NY NY. Our hotel was easy to find, located as it was at the Southernmost end of the strip and modelled to look exactly like Manhatten, complete with Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. ... and a not-so-cool 80 - 85 degrees at night. We signed-up for players cards just so we could get half-price at the dinner buffet, which was pretty terrible. It was like Warren Towers (for all the BU folk) or any other nasty college cafeteria. The rest of the night we toured through a bunch of hotels, were propositioned by cabbies to hit up strip clubs, and spent whatever cash we had left on either booze or betting... neither really worked out.......Vegas.

... With many pieces of luggage we had added along the way, off we went. John and NOrman had a nice car with lots of room to sit back and enjoy the view..We on the other hand had so much luggage that we were cramped the first night, then the next day, the guys helped us out and we were off the spend the day playing cards, eating and reading.
