    ... and then joined Mike and the girls who were tubing down the "rapids" on the river that passes from one end of the campground to the other. We had a lot of fun.

    Friday night we had another great campfire and spent time swapping adventure stories with the Deal family that had just come back from Frontier Days out in Wyoming.

    After a warm quiet day at the campground, Mike and I took the shuttle to Turning Stone. We wandered around for a bit, the settled in to a great night of playing the slots.

    We arrived here around 4:30 pm and are now settling in for the night. It was a great ride and we put on 221 miles today. It was relaxing, we took our time --- that's what is nice about being retired --- you can take your time.
    The RV part is part of the Oneida Indian Nation reservation ---- very very nice, quiet and just relaxing. Stay tuned for more tomorrow. XXXOOO ...

    ... are paved, the grounds are beautifully manicured. Trees, flowers gardens and water features line the walking trails. Oh, did I mention the free shuttle that picks you up at your RV to take you to Turning Stone Casino... That's why we're only staying here two days, I can't be trusted alone with my wallet and a slot machine! It always ends ...

    ... right through that area as a parallel by-pass to the river as the rapids on that section of the river were too rough to allow for navigation.

    Further up the loop, as we were passing along Lake Sacandaga, we found a nice little restaurant right on the water, so decided it was time for lunch. We sat out on the deck and enjoyed a great view of the lake and the boats coming in and out of the marina. There was also a bachelor party going on ...
