Leaving there we and stumbled upon a 100 year old round barn that supplied home grown produce so we stocked up for our evening meal....fresh peaches and fruit from their trees, local cheeses and meats and various coloured home grown tomatoes. Drove the last 40 miles of the SD today, these proved to be more spectacular than the first 60 miles and we saw a bear, well sort of. He or she was high in a tree in the forest about 50 metres off the road, so not easy to spot. Nonetheless several cars stopped and blocked the road in the hope of glimpse.
