In Puerto Vallarta we're taking the complete city tour that includes a stop at a Tequilla factory...sweeeet! We can also set up this tour to go to anywhere we'd like, like the beach, which sure sounds good to me! Can't wait.

We'll friends it's been a blast, but this was the last stop on the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana Train.  We're in Auburn Hills just outside of Rochester NY.  It's not as big or as fancy as California, but they do what they can.  I also found a great place for BBQ called Dinosaur BBQ which was fantastic.  Oh well I have to cut it short Miley is about to get on the stage!!!

... diversion into Great Smoky Mountain National Park to see the fall colors. A week from tomorrow, we'll be back at our friend Pat's Place, in Webster, Florida, where warm weather awaits!

The colors have started to change up here - will upload a couple of pics taken today as we're traveing.

We're heading west to go home after a fantastic summer.

It feels so right to be back on my bike again, it's like we never parted.

Was on the road by noon. A good, albeit wet, ride today. A bit of delay at the Sarnia/Port Huron border for Matt to renew his visa waiver form but no complaints ...

... learning principles of Permaculture and how to implement them, We also spent a lot of time touring the local area looking at possibilites and the great works other people had already implemented. We had an amazing cook Sonja, who is solely responsible for the several extra pounds we gained (our self control had nothing to do with it).

Like I said several times already we made some fantastic friends and look forward to bumming at their houses ...

... and gone from spectacular to pitiful but the rains have left some exquisite foliage. I've been home to see some of my efforts but the remaining will have to be tended and utilized by my neighbors. My lavender is fabulous this year, thanks to Kimberly, and I'll be weaving up some fresh botteilles in my spare time. Speaking of Kim, we had a wonderful time and I'm only sorry not to have a few days to schedule a repeat. I still think you ...

Once over the border we drove and followed Tom Tom to where he told us to go. We even drove on many many dirt roads even though we told tom not to take us on on them! And, the redneck country that is in Michigan was unreal! OMG it was just sooooo funny! I never knew there were so many rednecks in Michigan State!

This always seems to happen to me at the most inconvenient times. It happened once before when I was returning from a trip to Mendoza, Argentina's wine country. ... some Civil War sites to visit while we're in the area. (Edit: I forgot to add the story about the 15 year old girls. I'm actually guessing their age. Three girls came up to the tent as Josh, Dan, and I were there and started signing the ONE Declaration. As they did this, one was constantly licking her hand. The second girl while writing looked up at Josh with these tripped out eyes and said, "I can't feel my hand" and started laughing. Kids on ecstacy...always good to see.)
