Historical Traveler Reviews Wingate by Wyndham Schaumburg/Convention Center

      Great Experience

      from

I would recommend the Wingate Inn in Schaumburg to anyone who is visiting the area. I was there for 4 days and experienced some of the best service I have ever had at any hotel chain. The rooms are large and very nice, breakfast was great with many options, free parking, easy access to shopping and the interstate. I will be staying there again during my next visit.

      Nice place

      from

Real nice place and enjoyed my stay very much...and cheap rates than all hotels in schaumburg but in my opionion its the best hotel in schaumburg...

      The best place to stay

      from

Traveling to Schaumburg can be a dread because of work. But the Wingate couldn't be better than perfect. The stay I had was incredible and couldn't believe my stay made up for my bad mood. By the way the breakfast was spectacular with Fresh Waffles. I'll definately stay at the Wingate next time I'm in the area.

      Thanks

      Great Place

      from

On my weekend trip to schaumburg I randomly had got a room at Wingate and it was really great. I had brought my computer with me to get some work done. Turn out that the place had wireless internet for free and it was really nice to get online. I would definately stay at a Wingate on my next trip out of town.

      Cozy Stay

      from

It was a wonderful stay and it was cheap. I would reccomend this place to anyone who wanted to by Woodfield Mall!

      Very Good Place

      from

I will definately stay at the Wingate again on my next trip to Chicago especially because of the free high speed. Also very friendly customer service thanks Wingate.

      Wonderful Facility

      from

The staff at the hotel was wonderful which helped me so much to make my stay wonderful. The Breakfast was more than I expected which had fresh hot waffles. The High speed internet was great in the room and the breakfast area. The best part of all Ikea and the mall was just minutes away from the hotel where they offered me a FREE ride there and back. I will be back here again on my next trip. Thanks Wingate !

Bad taste in my mouth this time

      from

I stayed at this hotel once before (May of this year) following the favorable reviews read here. I was not disappointed. I stayed there again last night, and had a very bad experience. As I was about to enter my room, I noticed that some repair or renovation was being done a few feet away from my door. It was the noisy type. When I enquired at the front desk, I was told all work would stop by 9PM. It was not exactly that way. Work (drilling, pounding, etc) went on ALL NIGHT LONG. I don't believe I got more than a hour of sleep. When I complained to the front desk clerk early in the morning, he was apologetic but did not deny knowledge that this would go on through the night. I could have been given a room at the opposite end of the building, as a matter of common courtesy to a paying customer, but they put me up in the worst possible place. Why? Add to this some very noisy guests in the same floor, and you end up with an experience that you do not want repeated. I certainly will not stay there again.

      Wingate Inn is the best

      from

The accomodations at the hotel was very nice. I have been back 4 times since I stayed there. The best part of all I am paying a regular room rate and the room sizes are like suites. The free high speed internet access is so great. I would tell anybody that was coming to te Schaumburg area to stay there.

      Very Lovely Hotel

      from

The Wingate Inn in Schaumburg, IL is very nice and being brand new is perfect. The hospitality is very nice and was very house warming feeling. I would recommend the Hotel to anybody but is very benefitial to people which are on Business. The hotel has the state of the art business center and has FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET from all the rooms. Also for people which don't have a computer when they travel they have one of the finest computer in their free twenty four hour business center. People there prices are very competitve with other hotels but is worth paying what their rate are. However their rates are one of the best rate out there. They have the best breakfast I think out of the most hotels in Schaumburg. My next visit to the Schaumburg area for business or leisure is definately at the Wingate Inn in schaumburg. Their phone number is 847.882.5000. Take my word for it, its a very nice hotel and its brand new.

... We also went to Garretts, who are famous in the area for making Gourmet popcorn. We got the local Chicago mix, made up of a combination of cheesecorn and caramel! An odd mix but very much recommended. We then made our way to Giordanos for some stuffed, deep dish pizza. There was a bit of a wait, but it was really was worth it. Absolutely delicious. Me and Dev shared a small, which I have to say made me wonder what a ...

Now most people I'm sure will ask what exactly is Cloud Gate, which is a fair questions because it usually just goes by its nickname of 'The Bean;' the giant silver kidney bean shaped sculpture in movies such as Source Code. I must admit, it was pretty cool, especially standing underneath the middle of the sculpture and looking up.After 'The Bean,' we continued around the park and found a rose garden, as well as ...

It was weak by universal studios standards. Left the zoo heading up north to Chicago. Stopping at another fast-food joint that we can tick of the list Appleby's. Probably the most classy restaurant chain. The food ...

... expected to be around 7 PM, so, we were advised that we, along with others, were on this train and probably they would hold the other train for us. They expected us to make up some time so we probably had no worries. As the day wore on, we made up a little time, but as we got close to Chicago, in the pouring rain and strong winds, things slowed down due to the backup of trains due to the storm, which hit Chicago strong, but hit ...
