There have been times when I have really wanted to leave the restaurant ...

Friday, we got up early and caught a bus from the campground to downtown to watch the opening day parade for the Calgary Stampede. We arrived around 8am and staked our place out on a "grassy knoll" above 6th avenue, not far from the start of the parade. At 9am sharp, the parade started with a big bang (literally). For a bit over two ...

... to head to Canada, so I decided to camp outside of Glacier closer to the highway and get right on my way in the morning. There was a town right outside the park and a little further south than Babbs called St. Mary’s, which had a couple campsites right off the road. The one I stayed at was a family-owned place up on a hill amidst a small Aspen forest. Everything has been so green pretty much every place I’ve stayed, and this place was particularly ...

... out the rates charged would have been crazy expensive. So I bought a 1 month Virgin SIM plan based on great advice of staff in the mobile store. The options and costs are nothing like the US, or even Australia, with so many restrictions and very little in the way of useable Pre-Paid plans. Just crazy, but that's the way it is in Canada. So having sorted out my mobile phone, it was time to head back to the airport. I called the airport in advance to make sure my luggage ...
