On Wednesday we decided to visit the USS New Jersey for a tour. The ship is on the other side of the Delaware River in New Jersey. ... before Hershey. The GPS lead us to Palmyra (north of Hershey) - Gabrielle had put in the address of the steakhouse instead of the butterfly gardens. The rain stopped so we decided to have lunch at the Hometown Family Restaurant in Palmyra before going on to the Butterfly gardens.

Enjoying the morning with Uncle Dee. After a great breakfast at Bob Evans needed to run off some sausage gravy. Had a blast at the Army Heritage Museum running through the barracks and talking to soldiers. It was amazing. ... With ammunition very low, he gave the order to fix bayonets and they charged down the steep ridge. The charge pretty much finished the men from Alabama, and earned Chamberlain (a college professor before the war) the Medal of Honor.
There were 100 or 1,000 other men on both sides just as brave, but he certainly represents the amazing sacrifices of the three day battle. I cannot remember any historical place I have enjoyed as much as Gettysburg.
