    The long day of driving included several encounters with slowed traffic and construction. We finally arrived in Gettysburg. We decided to drive through town to see what eating establishments were still open - trying to avoid the quick burger & fries menu. We ended up in the park and decided to go see the Eternal Flame. We'll be visiting the site again tomorrow, but wanted to get some pictures of the flame in the twilight / dusk. ...

    ... had showers and then wandered down the roads looking for restaurants to eat at for dinner. We ate at a brasserie 2 miles away, it was delicious and the waitress had a great sense of humour! XD We came home and jumped into bed and slept.. Ready to begin again the next day, I have to go! Later Gators! LJ ...

    ... did the tour when I was 8, we got a Hershey Bar. This time we got a small Kit Kat. I found the whole place to be a giant tourist trap. You can buy candy here, but it is all stuff you can buy at a local grocery store. There are T-shirts, sweatshirts etc if you want those, but you will have to be jostled by a lot of people. It was 4th of July, so maybe at some other time of year it would be more enjoyable.

    For the last 24 hours we have been in a torrential downpour. Our site has about 2 inches of water on the pad. Think we have gotten 3 inches or so. Have developed a leak on the bedroom slide. Coming in along the slide rail. Problem is the water running ...

    ... to read the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's backgrounder on the accident. Spoiler alert: the accident happened when a cooling malfunction caused part of the reactor core to melt.
