... still a light covering but the sky was blue. Donelle was a bit excited to be able to get out for a change so we decided to walk into town. It was a little difficult in the places that don't get cleared but it made for an interesting walk anyway, seeing the town in a different season. Unfortunately, my delay in Dallas meant we only had one night at home to relax before our trip to Amish ...

Firstly some reflection on yesterday. Visiting the 9/11 sites over the last few weeks made me think about that night (in Australia). I can still remember very clearly the events. ... foothills of the Allagheny Mountains, part of the Appalachian range, so there are quite a few state parks nearby based around the more interesting geographic features. When Donelle had a little spare time we went for a short drive to one of the nearest called Strouds Run, which due to its lake appeared to have a focus on water sports. Many of the other waterways seem to be running dry at this time of year, late in ...

The last couple of weeks have been all about exploring my new home. Athens, Ohio, a small city with it's economy based around the Ohio University. The Ohio University has 38,857 enrolled students with 22,639 onsite students. The 2010 census had the population of Athens at 23,832. Interesting numbers!

The first word that came to my mind, while walking into the centre of town on my first day here, ...
