    Yesterday we traveled from Mississippi and across Louisiana almost to Texas -- it was a fairly long drive, but Sassy and Odie were good travelers. In fact, they spent (as always) the whole time driving in their carriers -- we open them up, but they just stay inside and look out at us. Oh well . . . . . ...

    Wednesday feb 18 the weather was warmer. We packed up and headed to Oak Alley Plantation (1200 acres) about an hour west of New Orleans. We arrived around 10:30. We did a guided tour of the home first then explored some of the grounds and perused the outbuildings that would have been slave quarters. Then we had lunch at the restaurant there before heading on our way. We drive as far as Vinton LA and arrive there around 6:00pm. Had homemade chili for ...
