We awakened to dense fog this morning that never seemed to burn off. Since we weren't leaving until 1100 because of adverse tide in the Cape Fear, we didn't pay much mind ---- except, when 1100 rolled around, the pea soup fog was still with us. We just happened to drive through there really ...

... and even Charleston in relative comfort.

Here's Maggie with her comments. Well hi, sitting in pub at this lovely marina see temps of 21 and snow in Wisconsin on TV, so No complaints. Unfortunately, my eyesight is inhibiting me from reading charts, but Drew knows this waterway well from previously traveled them. I took the helm for a brief period today and Captain toughed it out. ...

... in Kure Beach and of gulls being hand fed by passengers on the ferry to Southport. 06/10/13 From Vickie: I would like to preface today's entry with the following statements: 1. This is my very first EVER tour and each day I gain even more respect, and awe, for Jim, other seasoned distance riders and the Warm Showers Hosts that I have met so far. When I started, I was totally blind to the level of the physical and mental conditioning and stamina that would be needed ...
