... past the campground where Goose Creek feeds into Pamlico River. There was a really cool tree here at the edge of the water. Much of the earth that anchored the tree in place had eroded and the roots were clearly visible. Left Wilson today and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Layla crawled for the first time today and it was to me. I got all my stuff packed, but just feel like I forgot stuff. I have a cool room mate though. She's sweet, and is going to Africa. This girl is gonna do big ...

Official Day 3 - Just Under 50ish Miles

... down a little bit; kids were running around, free as birds. Everyone knew everyone (which I suppose could be both a good or bad thing), and folks just hanging out. It was nice. And it was nice to be able to go out and socialize with some of the team. We started today with home-cooked eggs, bacon, cheese biscuits cooked by Georgie himself, the owner of the local Georgie's Oyster Bar. And then we were off. Today I rode with Alycia, Alicia and Kim. And Lorenne ...
