Once into Illinois I zigzagged up the eastern side, through many miles of corn crops, very dry and still standing, until I got to a nice RV Park well off the highway in Champaign. Minnie had truly had enough by then. I let her off the leash and she went crazy running in circles until she’d let off her pent up energy.

We ended up moving on to Champaign, Il since the weather was pretty bad. The campground we were heading to called us twice, saying we have a lot of mud. So we missed an area that had a few things for us to see but Champaign is a nice place and our campground is really nice.

... delay. Our plane's landing was delayed because of an impending storm. Then, it couldn't pull up to the gate for about an hour because there was lightening. Long story short, our departure was delayed, American Airlines screwed up our connecting information in Chicago, and so we got stuck in The Chi.
