... Reached my boarding gate at 4.45pm. Didn't even stop to use the toilet, so am holding on till I get to Washington DC. There were thunderstorms around Houston so we had to skirt around these, then also more storms as we flew over Atlanta Georgia. It's 7.15pm now and starting to get dark outside. We fly through a time zone so will land at 8pm Louisiana time, but will be 9pm Washington ...

It was so much fun being ...

Mom - we were chatting about our kid's intense medical history, etc. She was encouraged to create a brochure about her son's syndrome, medical history, etc. Believe me, there are times when it's much easier to hand a brochure instead of asking the medical professional, "do you have a week....?" She carries them with her in her bag. I think it's even a good idea to have everywhere we go!

... part of his care in addition to local medical visits 3 - 4 times a week.) We exchange contact info with many families as well. One Dad and son in particular; a 9 year old boy who just completed a round of chemo/radiation last week! He has a brain tumor. We are humbled and blessed to have met them. His Dad shared with me that his son has 15 months to live. You would never know that by watching him today. He has beaten the odds thus far and we ...
