I've never been here before and I wish we had a longer overnight because I would have liked to go out and do some exploring but we had to catch the hotel shuttle at 10:00. Hopefully I got a long overnight here sometime. (As you probably can tell, I'm in this for the long overnights.)

Staying at Martin Lake Resort which is a definite stretch! It is mobile home park not an rv park, with old fifth wheels and campers that people call home. There is a nice lake and a pool. We drove down along the gulf and stopped to take pictures of the carved trees damaged during Katrina. Absolutely beautiful! Had dinner at BBQ joint that had wonderful reviews but we didn't like it as much. However the owner was so friendly it made up for it. Leave tomorrow for ...

Large shrimp boats go out into the deeper waters. 90% of the gulf shrimp export to China and Japan and guess what? We purchase the asian ****. Another tidbit of info that was extremely interesting. Barq's ...

Kind of nice this morning to be able to sleep in a bit and sit around, relax and have coffee outside before we had to get the day started. It is so beautiful here that we have decided to stay another day. There is a Shrimp boat tour available that we have decided to give a go. We learn all about shrimp fishing and even get to see how it's done! Wow, we had a great time learned a lot about shrimp and we ...

Still using Fays story of events Still in Slidell. The guys went this morning to get our flat tire repaired. Turns out the tire had a straight razor blade removed from the tire. Apparently, discarded drug blades are discarded everywhere in New Orleans and we probably picked it up in the $5 parking lot we were in. Long story short, Durocher's had to buy a new tire. Went over to talk to Gail in her Coach and low and behold what should I see a ...
