... license, permit to cross country and location contract for the vehicle....did we have copies? No!!!!!!!!
We had no more money, so A. left his watch to the lady, so we could go to the Bank get some money. We were so exhausted of the whole process.
We drove another 2 hours to get to Tikal, another Mayan site, where it was almost closed, but they let us in, without a reservation for a hotel.
More news from Tikal, hopefully with pictures....
... just a bit more responsible.
We had a few more drinks at our local
spot and looked for a place for dinner. Erika had told us about ‘a
place with ingredients for dinner for only $10 Belize!!’ which of
course just sounded like a grocery store but she was sure she had
seen something that said that. Eventually we did find the place she
was talking about called “Willy’s Wish” which was in someone’s
yard. The cook ...

The movie was fantastic, oh, did I mention the movie theatre is air-conditioned? That made it even bett**. Back home to get ready for tomorrow. Out on the porch, the girls and I had our own "Planet Earth" moment when one of our resident geckos ate a fly about half it's size. The geckos ...
... but I got to see a few of the kids. They were super cute and very curious about the delivery I had for them. Upon returning to Cornerstone, I met the principal and vice principal of Eden Primary who had gone looking for me! They thanked me for dropping off the supplies and asked if I could stop by the school sometime and help out. I had lunch with all of the volunteers, employees and members of the community in our big kitchen. Every day ...
San Ignacio, Belize sarainbelize...
San Ignacio, Belize sara-linda... Mayan pottery and even human remains have been found from rituals and sacrifices performed hundreds of years ago. To get to the cave, we hiked about a mile into the forest, crossing a river three times just to get warmed up for what was to come. The cave opens in the face of a big limestone wall, but the most stunning part is the beautful green river that flows out from it. It is in that river that we had to swim and trek to enter ...
San Ignacio, Belize marmaladejenn... morning and dig into Gods word that's awesome keep it up just don't wake me up for it will interrupt your time with God and you and I will not enjoy it. Yet the latest book by your favorite author , or movie full of sex , blood , violence and things detestable to God, we cant keep our hands and our money away from. This is why we allow the murder of innocent children by the thousands every day and the abomination of marriage to take place with in our ...
Belmopan, Belize hrpitschmann... arrives with you soon Bec. We checked out San Ignacio before grabbing a cab and heading out to Table Rock, a luxury hideaway that we had recommended to us by Sarah B. After the taxi driver got a little lost and finally got his bearings we soon arrived and were immediately impressed. Alan, one of the owners, was on sight to great us to his beautiful home and piece of paradise along with their three dogs, Toby, Morgan and The Great White ...
San Ignacio, Cayo, Belize gareth.alanna... passed a group of women using umbrellas to shield themselves from the sun and walking with their children towards the village on the way. When we reached the village of Cristo Rey, we made a brief stop at the local elementary/middle school. There was an art presentation going on and children had been bussed in from many of the neighboring schools as well. We walked through the crowds of children in uniforms and ...
Cristo Rey, Belize boognish... to be sacrificed. At the end of the main part of the hike, we climbed up a steep, wet rock and then over a ledge. After getting up, Erinn and I discussed how they'd never let you do that in the States because of the likelihood of a lawsuit if somebody fell. It wasn't particularly dangerous to people who are in good shape and relatively sure-footed, but a fall would probably be catastrophic. After climbing over ...
