    ... and brave the peak hour traffic. The traffic was not that bad but not knowing where I was going and relying totally on the gps to pick the correct lanes can be tricky. We celebrate getting home safe and sound with a couple of bitterly cold drinks. We ended the night with special of the day, 'burgers and chips', a game of putt putt and a game of cards (and beers) that took us deep into the night.

    ... in Surfers Paradise. Wednesday arrived and this was the day Cadence had been waiting for since we started planning the trip. Both children have chosen a special experience and Cadence wanted to visit Tiger Island at Dreamworld and spend some time with a tiger.     ... celebrated with a Nandos (classy - but the birthday boys choice) and a few drinks in the pub- true Brit style! Our final day for our first stint in Brissy saw us on our own version of a walking tour. We did plan on using the equivalent to the London Boris bikes but unfortunately you need to be a citizen to use them...yes how ridiculous.
