... the area, seeing the houses of Parliament and St. James' gardens, and everything along the way. We spent a long time staring at the guards in their fuzzy hats and overly polished boots, before we made it to Buckingham palace and saw more of the guards protecting it. As we were walking along The Mall (the street leading to the palace), we kept seeing young red-headed cyclists and convincing ourselves it was Harry picking up some milk ...

... of the guard. Despite the throngs of people, we saw the procession and the bearskin hats. Actually, the best part was the tanks and cavalry that interrupted the changing of the guards! The Queen is reviewing the military next week and they happened to be practicing and they were heading back to the barracks. The cavalry came down the mall on the horses and in full military and ceremonial uniforms. Then, my favorite part, the tanks and half tracks ...
