... few days.

Arriving at the gates was a thrilling experience, the standard ticket cost me 19.10 Pound ($34.27), although this is quiet expensive it came highly recommended by other tourist I ad meet at the hotel. The London Eye gently swept riders above the Thames River, 135 metres high. The 360 degree view of the city was yet again remarkable and never seemed dull. We started our day with a bike ride across Hyde park arriving at Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guards. It was packed but I managed to slide into a peak position. It was a bit warm so the snow was a big sluggish. The colder it was the faster we would have gone. I still loved it. Feet on the rails, hands gripping the cold metal of the sled, wind burning my face, the sound of dogs barking and nothing else. Just silence. It was, wait for it, ...

... lady with a Dutch accent. A final trek to the Arts and Crafts section, passing Leighton's frescoes on the way. Sad to find Morriss's portrait of Janey no longer where it was on my last visit — apparently it belongs at The Tate, who don't even have it on display. Back out amongst the well-heeled in South Kensington, a takeaway coffee and a short walk to the bus that takes us all the way home for a quick change before dashing back to Soho for dinner with Andrew ...
