      ... kind remaining, was a pleasure. It made me think of Grandad and I felt extremely proud. This kind of place will always have a special place in me and my family. In the afternoon I finished the gift buying spree, and after dinner I took a final walk along the South Bank. As you can see by the photo I uploaded, Brisbane is very special and I will miss it immensely! And to today, Sunday 26th...my first plan home leaves in ...

      ... shopping and at midday we set off back to the hotel. With plenty of our kids struggling to stay awake we arrived only to be told that our rooms were being cleaned and we needed to visit Walmart to fill in an hour or two. A brisk walk and some more shopping with plenty on offer we made our way back to the hotel and our now in our rooms and waiting for dinner at 5 pm. All are safe and well all be it extremely tired. Looking forward to an early night and a relaxing day in San Diego ...

      ... retail enthusiasm is sensational. Love it.

      Tuna salad sandwiches and all the soup, particularly broccoli and cheese.

      and finally, Los Angeles airport! So beautiful. The electronic art is fantastic. It was so bad last time I was here and now with the renovations complete, it's gorgeous.

      Not so good:

      Surprised I couldn't drive, but I just couldn't.

      The coffee! So much better here. Maybe it's where we bought it. ...

      Well readers since my last blog we have traveled to a variety of places, visited with family and carried out improvements on the van. We have installed a 4 KVA generator to be able to run all the electrical gadgets and air conditioner when free camping.
