We did a drive by of the US Naval Base, hoping to get some nice ship pictures, but... there wasn't actually anything to see. Just a collection of nondescript buildings.

... regular "best available" room rate, you could get a second, connecting room provided you were traveling with kids. This was basically an insane deal and a phenomenal sleeping situation for us. So we had a "kids room" and a "parents room." Amazing.

... you know you're supposed to be sleeping, but you are not exactly tired, and yet you are exhausted. So... we went out for dinner. After locating what appeared to be the most popular midnight ATM in Manama, we had tikka, kebab, hummus, cucumber salad, and mango juice at Gold <something I can't remember> restaurant up on our street corner. SO GOOD. So happy to be here!

After that, we all crashed into bed without protestation.

The was a security check before going to the waiting hall and when checking before boarding, they just simply scanned the bar code and everything when through smoothly.
