Arrived in Ayr in the rain. Had dinner at Cicero's - had a large pizza and some chocolate desert. Lucky we do not have lunch on our travels. Ayr is a bit of an in-between town. Historical buildings not as good as others but not modern either. Looks like it needs to determine where it wants to go. It does have really good golf courses including the Royal Troon. B&B was good. Anyway, we're not quite packed, but almost. We have the essentials, beer, wine and bottle opener. We have clothes for hot and not so hot weather. Some wet weather stuff, but we're hoping we won't need that. We have adapted the awning so that the rain doesn't come into the 'bedroom' - well it had better not after all our hard work! ...
... after lunch and we spent the rest of the afternoon with him which was great as it will probably be quite a while before we see him again.
After a full day in Amsterdam and our last night in Delft we went back to Café De V for dinner which we enjoyed so much on our first night here. The sun was still shining and the air crisp and the wander down the street to the restaurant ended a lovely too few days in this beautiful little place.

Festival office where I renewed acquaintance with the general manager Helen and
