... she instantly assumed the position and dropped off to sleep. The flight was full-ish, but our strategizing had paid off and T and I both ended up with a bank of three seats for each of us and our corresponding kid. With the kids on the floor, we popped the car seats out and then were able to lay down flat - poor man's business class. Let me tell you, I think I slept about 8 hours straight through. ... The rooms were lovely & spacious & the pool area was great for kids & adults alike.
The trip across the causeway was a long one due to everyone heading out of Saudi for the long weekend. What is often a 45 minute trip, took 2.5 hours! We caught the 'shopper' bus across (which goes to Bahrain for shopping trips twice a week), & pre-arranged a taxi from Saudi to pick us up on the Saturday afternoon. The taxi ride back took 80 minutes which ...
