          Best hotel in Rio

I would certainly recommend this hotel for business stay or for pleasure. I felt like I was home only with an ultra modern touch. Registration took place in a special room for our group. We were served water and Caipirinha when we walked in. Our luggage was taken from the bus directly to the rooms. The beach is right across the street and the night life is a short taxi ride away. I really enjoyed the breakfast room, the roof top panoramic view of the city and my overall stay in this hotel.

I would give this hotel a full five stars as everything was great, and what you look for in a five star luxury hotel. The only exception is that they wanted us to pay the equivalent of $20-$25 USD per day for access to their Wifi network. We stayed at 2 other subpar hotels on our trip to Brazil and they both had free Wifi. I was highly disappointed with the wifi situation, but other than that the hotel was spectacular, from service, to the rooms, to the amazing location and views from the rooftop pool and and bar!

We woke in Auckland at 9am on Thursday the 3rd of March. We arrived, in Rio, eventually at around 12.15am on the 'morning' of Friday the 4th. Between the hellish flights, incidents, negativity, transfers and overall deflating and morale sapping experiences between, we'd been 'awake' (excluding fatigue microsleeps) for around 35-40 hours. Now …

He instructs the boys to leave the guy alone. This is like a red rag to a bull. Chris lunges towards him, trying to swipe him, while I try and keep him in his seat to prevent him from doing any of us damage. This continues for a few minutes of swearing and general aggression. Luckily, this Belgian guy gets off the ...

In the late afternoon i had to check out of the hotel and move to the hostel i will be staying at for my last 4 nights. Thankfully it turned out to be lovely and in a great location- Just 3 blocks from Ipanema beach. The Copacobana Rock between Copocobana and Ipanema turned out to be a lovely place to watch the sunset from.

Day 3- My third day was spent both shopping and chilling on Ipanema Beach. I have a new found love for the ...
