I am not sure what has happened, but all the California State Parks are now charging the extortionate rate of $35 per night, for primitive camping sites. I think that is extremely pricey, considering that most private campgrounds charge about $40 for full electricity and water hook-ups. And just last year, the rate was only about $20-25!
