Best Beach in Bali?

... to not venture in higher than your thigh. Plus most of the water is occupied by brand new surfers with little to no control of their board nor understanding you should not ride the wave all the way onto the beach each time. Although one I do have to admit watching the waders getting knocked over by waves they weren't expecting was slightly amusing. It made my day at the beach ...

The following morning, it's thankfully a beautiful day and we are headed out to the island of Gili Trawangan (also known as Gili "T").

I ran up to them and panting hard said "Bali! We are going to Bali. Have we missed it?" To my utter relief they said last call now. And asked for our boarding passes. They then asked for 80,000 tax but I didn't have any money! We where desperate, then Janet asked if we can pay with ...

Lastly we stop at Jimbaren beach for a dinner of seafood where all the restaurant tables are along the beach. It is dark, warm and humid with no wind. The sound of the tide competes with some roving musicians and a random dancer in traditional costume. It is a magical setting with the whole beach length covered with tables in front of restaurants. ...

As we entered the temple grounds through the gate, Arlan brought our attention to a closed gate by the side. He told us that this is another temple that allows devotees to enter to pray. At this point in time, we were not too sure what he meant by that. Arlan quickly seized an opportunity to help my friend and I to take some pictures outside the temple ...

A relaxing, beautiful place to start

Everyone has been extremely accomodating & helpful to us here. Both pools are great, the swim up bar was pretty fun, but the coctails were steep compared to some out of the way spots we found while cruising the streets. The variety at the continental breakfast is super fantastic. We feel extremely safe and comfortable staying here. Not a bad spot to have as a home base while here. The only 2 things to think about are: If you want inexpensive drinks, don't get them at your hotel, head out into the streets and find yourself some deals... the other thing, go online and prebook if you want to get a deal for this hotel, we got a great room on www.asiarooms.com
