... bought a pair of real leather sandals for $230 baht. So cheap! I had to do a bunch of bargaining to get better prices. Finally it was getting late so I decided to head back and find the bus to take me home. On the walk back, I bought these minced meat with quail egg pancake rolls from a very nice street vendor. They were yummy! I found the 3 bus back and made it in one piece. I plan to go back to the market tmrw since I don't think I got to see everything I wanted ...

Soon we would realize that this was no a regular neighborhood however. There were go-go bars everywhere, ping pong shows abound, and young costume laden prostitutes everywhere. The next day, before my sleeper train to Chiang Mai which was leaving at 6pm, ...

After our unexpected change of plans last night, we took the bus from Battambang to Siam Reap at 9 in the morning and ended up spending most of our day in the our favorite Cafe in Siam Reap - the Upstairs Cafe - as our flight wasn't until 9 pm that day.

We discovered the Upstairs Cafe on one of our strolls through Siam Reap and went there almost every day. It's ...

... So many people, so many goods being sold on endless aisles that wrapped around for what seems like miles. The FOOD! It was incredible - a feast for all senses. Each vendor displaying their goods with an artistic flare. The air was filled with the most enticing smells. Pictures nor words can adequately describe what an incredible place it is.

We probably only covered a fifth of the Market, before the heat and our overwhelmed senses ...
