... it all up in an outstanding package. After the film Becky and I had intended on heading home but we ended up going to a restaurant a couple of streets down from us where absolutely no one spoke a word of English and we were barely able to convey our meaning in Thai. Becky apparently finds this situations quite embarrassing, whilst I just find it fun. Sadly the entire experience was spoilt by the fact the food set my mouth on fire. Oh well, it was an experience all the ...

I was about to let the guy know we were in line and he should reposition behind us, but Ali quickly intervened to say it was expected of us to let him skip the line. Scorpions is one of the snacks sold, and frogs made of wooden that you can make sound with a stick one of the things that many seem to sell but none seems to ...

... city core. The old post office was worth a visit. It has Parisian architecture and is beautifully maintained, with a very large portrait of Ho Chi Minh on the back wall where you can't miss it. Across the street was a massive Catholic cathedral - the contrasts are certainly interesting in Vietnam. Our ship docked 2 hours away by bus from Bangkok - so it was not a simple matter getting there. The ship remained docked for 2 nights and many folks stayed ...
