We returned to Jane's and Max cooked again ( he ordered a truckload of Indian) from Indian Darchini - it was very nice and very filling - all the extra side dishes that Max had ordered certainly added some extra flavours to the Indian we are used to back home.
Sunday Jane had another 'Tiki Tour' planned for us so not a lot of my book was read before the eyes closed.
Woke up with the strangest feeling this morning. Took a while but then it filtered in slowly, today is the first day of my new non-working life. All my colleagues are heading to the office and I won't be there. It all feels a bit odd. I arrived at LHR Terminal 4 much too early and the check in wasn't open so I had a coffee and then went to check in. The desks were attended but they were not open. I was fourth in the queue. Something told me the plane wasn't that full and the small crowd at the gate confirmed this. I would estimate about 30 passengers on a plane that holds 250+. Afterwards we looked around the church and had tea and scones (1st time!) in the little cafe downstairs. We hopped back on the "tube" and headed for the British Museum. You could spend several days there seeing everything, so we just hit the highlights - the Elgin marbles, the Rosetta stone and many other incredible things. I will start with trapeze. It was perfectly in time, and wonderful to watch. I am one of those people (maybe doing circus helps) that predict a move. It can be a blessing and a curse. A blessing in the way that you understand a routine, a curse as there is no suprise ...
