... covered hilltops of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Going up was scary but wonderful, going down was even scarier as our horses had to figure out where to place their hooves on the rocky ground. The trail was through beautiful Aspen trees (a type of birch tree) where are gorgeous, and we saw little bits of wildlife (long-tailed chipmunks; funny looking squirrels, other little critters). ...

... village area where there was a huge concert going on....all of our kind of music: music from the 80's, including reggae. Lots of flower-power people dancing up a storm. Was fun to be a part of that. Tons of little shops, outdoor market type tents set up to sell lots of things like crystals, flower-power clothes, jewelry, etc. Was a fun time had by all. Came home and crashed - completely exhausted.

This is a self rescue necessary event, if you can't swim back to boat or to the side if river, you will have problems.
There were more too, all making Mr. Aguglia really questioning his decision to attend this event and how he let me talk him into this.
There were many more.

I didn't realize how Ben, also was a little apprehensive until I heard him tell Liam that he wanted to get out ...

We got to the campground (not bad location, less truckstop like...) the plan was decided for tomorrow, whitewater rafting and zip line adventure. A little coaxing was needed for a few of the members, but it would be a go!

Aspen Experience and moving on to Moab, Utah

We onLy had time to hang out in Aspen for a few hours before taking off to (hopefully) find a camping spot...our first attempt at Maroon Bells was a wash so we headed back to Our beloved Independence Pass to "Difficult Campground"....they got it backwards!!! THIS was EASY. We are in a sweet and beautiful little Aspen filled area...NICE! Well...we're 'on the road again'. Joanna wasn't too enthralled with Aspen...it ...
