To get to Gothic requires a 4WD vehicle as it was a dirt road for about 15 miles. With the recent rain, it was quite muddy. But the RAM was up to the task. We learned that another mile up the road we would find a trail that lead ...

Park and then follows the Fraser River and Colorado River into Glenwood Springs.  It was definitely worth the trip.  It takes about 5 1/2 hour by train and is a 2 1/2 hour drive via I-70 to get to Glenwood Springs.  It wasn't about being in Glenwood, it was about the trip there and back.  Absolutely beautiful trip. Check one more item off the Bucket ...

... you? Shouldn’t you be in Aspen? How long are you going to stay?” Now, they were nice as can be, but I was the only person not on first name basis with everyone else in the room.

At the end of my meal, I asked the waiter, somewhat shamefully, “Excuse me, but I’ve got a very tourist-y question for you: Was Thompson really as crazy as all that?”

He thought for a moment and said, “Yes. But it ...
