... country tour. He has been so helpful and has told us wonderful stories about South Africa. Three days in this guesthouse has been perfect. Chris wanted to stay longer.

For dinner, we went to Dutchies on the beach and pigged out on a seafood platter - prawn, hake, calamari, kingklip and clams. You would have loved it, Pat and Gail! We did!!

Our next blog is all about an adventure that we had with Great White Sharks! Hermanus is great.

... relish the town, the weather, the everything. But that can be done at home! Off to Boschendal Estate for a tour of the wine making facilities and a wine tasting at 11:30.

The lunch was a 10/10; absolutely fantastic! A buffet meal in a wonderful setting, after which we had time to tour the estate and grounds. Then to a lovely quaint hotel that felt more like a private home. Many folk settled around the pool and wine purchased at the winery came out. No dinner ...

Arrive at Simon's Town to see the penguin colony at Boulders beach. Instructed to be back at the bus by 1030hrs. There's something comical about penguins. They're all on the beach and the rocks sunbathing. Great waddle.
