This is it. I'm officially on Holiday! Tomorrow I will finally get to hug my love, but today it was a day off just for me.

When I woke up this morning, my host mom gave me the most amazing present ever. A certificate which says: "World's best volunteer, this certificate is awarded to Marine D. in recognition of one of the golden girls."
She was crying when she gave it to me and told ...

A couple of hours later and LMA has become very very poorly and has taken to her sick bed. Guess it was just bad luck - for her anyway!! The boat ride was excellent, we saw numerous dolphins and seals in the water and there was some breathtaking views of Cape Town ...

... be a young woman's footprints and they are over 117,000 years old. When she made them it was a sand dune. These are the oldest known prints of an anatomically modern human. Pretty cool! From here we went to Table Mountain National Park, stayed in a great little tented camp. Did some climbing and hiking. Went back for one more day at Cape Point. It's so beautiful there. Just beach combed and picnicked and hiked. Aaron actually got ...

Weather has deteriorated since the fantastic blue skies of Wednesday. It's been a leisurely couple of days since completing the Cape to Cape trip. So nothing of interest to report. Apart from meeting WAMC for a very enjoyable dinner last night. He'd just had a meeting with President Zuma and Prince Edward for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme.

I've known that Prince Edward was flying back tonight as well. Board the aircraft and busy standing ...
