I thought this was cool when my cousin Barbs did it, so figured I would too. My trip isn't exotic like hers was, however it could prove to be entertaining!

I left home at a nice and early 6:15am, arrived at the airport with no drama. I did remember to pay to park this time, you dint know how much stress and aggravation that cuts out of a trip!

The pane was completely packed(joy), and just as we got up into the air.... there was this alarm type sound that started to go off ...
Hamilton Parish, Bermuda marshallbda... but didn't manage to go to the beach which has pink sand apparently. Went back to the ship by ferry and it was good to get "home". Beautiful houses with white roofs and pastel coloured outsides, sometimes very bright colours as well. the waters are so clear even in the harbour where there are lots of boats and you would expect a bit of polution, there is none.
Left Bermuda at night and is was a pretty departure.
Bermuda, Bermuda stephgraemeWe didn't actually experience this day! The only way it exists to us is in the form of a UK newspaper we found in a little post office on the Island of Waiheke.

So if you did anything bad today, you're let off the hook.

(We weren't actually in Bermuda by the way)
Bermuda, Bermuda stephanie813... both on the water by Pete and on the dock by many friends and family, we spent a pleasant evening relating tales of the voyage to friends over dinner at the Dinghy Club. Now Big Bear will get a nice spruce-up before she sets sail on April 26th with yours truly on board as I leave Bermuda for good after 18 years. I can't think of a better way to leave this lovely Island than sailing off into the sunset on the gorgeous Big Bear! Watch this space.....
Hamilton, Pembroke, Bermuda shetastic... everything is on schedule despite the rain. So I reluctantly hang up and snuggle further into the cozy bed for just five more minutes of paradise.

I'm amazed at how sturdy the cabana is. The canvas walls rustle gently as the wind caresses the cabana, but not a hint of a breeze enters the tent-like structure, nor do we notice even the slightest amount ...
Somerset, Bermuda globetrotters... and the bed was comfortable. This was a Fairfield Inn and Suites, so our stay included continental breakfast. Thanks again Vicki! Before dinner, Tony and I went out to get cash from an ATM and also pick up some bottled water for our cabin. We found a Shop-Rite store, which reminded us of Wegman's, a wonderful grocery store. We thought we'd stop there before heading home to pick up some meats and cheese, but later decided against it. For ...
Hamilton, Bermuda mjpileggi... In the New England waters we catch a large 75lb yellow fin tuna, which I pull in on a hand line. In a few days we hit the Gulf stream and the water and weather turns warm. From there on out all it is, is sunny skys, endless star filled nights and more beautiful sunrises and sunsets than you can count. I grow accustomed to watch schedule of 4 hours on 8 hours off. Life at sea can be grand.
Bermuda, Bermuda skipjohnsen... the outskirts of Quito appeared in the window! With a 1pm, instead of 5am arrival.... 8 hours isn't claimable under delays on my insurance (not sure what the point of insurance is after all this!) but thankfully I didn't have to have the conversation with the bus company to try and get proof for missing my flight home! I celebrated with a McDonalds - that's how bad it was (I don't even particularly like ...
Bemuda triangle, Bermuda tiggerbird... time, we're booking far in advance. Then we head out to the Vixen. On the way, the plant life and sealife get more plentyfull. The Vixen is a sunk ship, who's bow is out of the water. It's the spot to spot fish. We circle it a few times, then head over to catch a view of our cabin, before heading back to the sports center. Dusk is falling, and it's time to get cleaned up before going to dinner. Unlike most of Bermudas better hotels, at 9 ...
Hamilton, Bermuda kupdegraWhen we stopped over in Bermuda it was still a part of the UK, but I am not sure if it is anymore. Anyway, I think it would still be a collection of about 150 islands and I think that there would still only be 20 of these that actually are inhabited. The main island is the one with the airport and apparantly there are about six others that are connected via bridges and a ...
