    ... was certainly "Walk like an Egyptian" and "Walking on Sunshine", but also something that looked like "Teddy Bear's Picnic", and others I couldn't identify,so who knows.

    ... corner as I walked past, but there was an excellent bubble machine someone had set up in the street. the walkers had to hike through a fairytale atmosphere to get to the finish line.

    In support of the LGBT community, everyone was wearing pink, that is to say, many people were. I put on my lilac shorts. It was the best I could do at short notice. Reina was much better planned and sported a fine pair of pink bunny ears and fuscia coloured net gloves. Other walkers had gone to even more extreme lengths - clown outfits with pink wigs, pink aprons and a thong, sequinned hats, feather boas... It was a total riot of colour and design. I spent ...

    ... up and start to ache again. This was not a good portent for the week ahead. I had hoped my knee would be better. I decided to wear all the best stuff on the first day's walk, just in case there wasn't a second.

    ... order as Tony has said he will take it in for us. It was after 9 before we actually got up!

    We had bacon sandwiches with tomato and egg which was the first real bacon we have found over here. They were very nice too.
