We stopped at two visitors centers, one in Rancho Mirage and the other in Palm Springs. The Rancho Mirage folks made us feel like we have ruined their nap time. The lady at the Palm Springs Visitor Center had a bright and bubbly personality. Her extensive knowledge of the area enabled her to select literature specific to our interests.

Hello once again,
Even though I have been at school only three weeks it feels like three months with how much has gone on. First of all it has been anywhere from 80-105 degrees so I have been melting away as we speak. For how can you completely understand what an elephant is, if you leave out the description of it's trunk?
