We drive back to Barker Dam and eat lunch. After a walk with the furry ones we head back to the resort satisfied with today's adventure.

We decided to head back the old highway 111 that hugs the Santa Rosa Mountains and passes through every town located at their base. I am amazed how the towns have grown together, ala L.A., Orange, and San Diego Counties. Huge housing complexes line the highway now where date palm farms used to be.
