Shimla, the old hill station for the British to escape from the Indian summers. The climate is still cool clean and fresh and it is quite simply like being in another county. The legacy of the British is still there with a few mock-tudor buildings along with the old Viceroy's lodge which belongs somewhere in the Scottish highlands. The town is now very much an Indian retreat now but we managed a good few days relaxing in the cool air before heading off to our next stop.
