Today me and Jack went canyoning. Dom is still recovering from falling off my bike in Saigon so he can't come. We go to some mountainside (reminiscent of Thetford forest) and practice abseiling down a steep slope, we were in a group with Europeans, from all over Europe. We then get pushed down a waterfall and abseil down a cliff face into more water. It's the first time in a while that I've been cold. Then ...

There isn't a lot about Nha Trang, it's a typical beach resort and full of Russians. It's quite expensive and very built up. After Hoi An, I wasn't hugely impressed. Mark and I did take a boat trip and went snorkelling for a day which was nice and I might have got stung by a jellyfish- very weird, and did the usual thing of meeting people (old and new acquaintances), had some nights out, relaxed at the beach and tried ...

Day one - 30th April - nha trang So after making it in one piece - well just about it was time to explore. So nha trang is known for it's mud baths..so that's what we did. Today is the biggest day of the holiday for the Vietnamese, so it was rammed with the locals. So we were plonked in with the locals in this runny mud bath. Relaxing is not how i'd describe it. We then took a hot hydro bath with other people. I can honestly say that my skin didn't feel any better. So we then took to ...

This morning I had breakfast and subtly 'borrowed' one of the glasses they offer for tea and coffee to use as a wine glass on the train. I went for a walk along the beach listening to music, and bought a drink from the Nha Trang Centre. I returned to the hostel, had a shower and packed and checked out at midday. The taxi took me to the station where I waited along with ...

    Last day in Nha Trang

A travel blog entry by leemclennan on Apr 22, 2015

I'm a little hungover today due to the drinks last night. I had breakfast the returned to bed to watch the rest of the movie I was watching last night ('About A Boy') and then went for a walk along the beach and some lunch somewhere in the backpacker district. I went to the beach for a while where I swam and read my book. I then went to the Nha Trang centre where there is ...
