Nha Trang

A travel blog entry by maddyaw on Dec 04, 2014

Nha Trang, our current location is a big city on the coast of Vietnam, very touristy and popular specifically with Russians. (As a lot of Vietnam seems to be?) There's not that much here of special interest, although the geography of the area and surrounding landscape is really beautiful! We spent a day at a spa yesterday and went in the mud baths! A very strange experience! Had a night ...

Nha trang - Day 2

Today I got lucky and got a day of fantastic weather that meant that my time in Nha Trang wasn't a waste of valuable time I could have spent elsewhere. Here I relaxed for a couple of ...

In Vietnam it is sometimes a bit exhausting to travel outside of the standard tracks. At least the driver was not suicidal this time. And they new that Europeans were coming and put us on the seats with the most leg space. But the aircon was not working and especially the driver was smoking all the time. We are also that far South that it was really warm now. But the higgest problem was that they completely overloaded the minivan and tried to fit in ...

Day 90

A travel blog entry by becky_whitmore on Nov 18, 2014

Another awful night on the train. One creepy guy that kept staring at me and another guy that couldn't stop coughing in our 4 bed room, yuk :-( I also discovered that they don't change the bedding in between people, double yuk! I arrived at the hostel to discover there was no electricity, not just at the hostel but in the whole city except for places that had generators. I couldn't shower and ...
