Ron drove us over to the AZ State University which is huge. ... all of those could have been good descriptions of our mentalities. At the starting line I ran into an old friend from high school who was running the race. You could say small word but then again it was in the same city I grew up in. Luckily she distracted us long enough for the race to began.
The race went as I had envisioned it would. First painful, then fun, then miserable, then numb and then my competitive spirit kicked in and I ran like the wind. ...
... Much to our disappointment, no one came to play pinochle but two couples were playing a marble game called Social Security and asked us if we wanted to learn. The couples are from Hibbing, MN and Canada and are just up the street from us. We really enjoyed it and had a fun evening with them. Guess we'll have to keep looking for some pinochle players or go to another Park for a club.

It is a very sad day in the motorsports family, Dan Wheldon died today @ Las Vegas speedway in a 15 car wreck. He was a 2 time Indy 500 winner, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
