The steam bus looked a bit like Bertie from Thomas and Friends so on Elizabeth the only operating steam bus in the world we climbed. Seated on old bench seats the bus built up steam and took us around unknown parts of Whitby which we still don't know as the 20 minutes involved the bus drivers wife explaining her husbands love of steam and trains and how the bus came to be on the roads. ...

Unfortunately our boys didn't have a great day with the bat, I think our top scorer made mid 20s, Jack made 15 batting at 8 and we were all out for 103, our first loss. The boys were disappointed but it was good to have a tough team to play against and they all learnt a lot from the experience. Playing on turf the pitch is different every ...

... the kids with caps, a bag and even a medal so that was lovely. Jack made a good speech and presented their team with the kookaburra hats. It was a fun night, the adults had fun too but we won't go into that ;) Poor Johnno the bartender! Home to Robin Hoods Bay for us, big day 45 over match at Stockton tomorrow followed by a Aussie parents vs Crook parents game in the evening, lucky it doesn't get dark till after 10pm, we can squeeze a lot into a day ...
