... claim to be the smallest in Britain but I know I've seen smaller! Motoring around the dales and moors has been spectacular and it is easy to see why hiking is so popular here. Even the dreaded Industrial sites don't detract too much from the splendour of the area. On the coast the cliffs are magnificent. Lots of exercise on this little side trip accompanied by more fun and laughter, memories of past times and (I admit) too much ...

... very inebriated sat at a table next to ours. We didn’t really notice them too much at first as they were both very quiet when they sat down and ordered and we noticed that the lady had actually nodded off to sleep while waiting for their drinks and meal to arrive. It is full of closed pews, where you have to unlatch a little door to get into your little cubicle. The pulpit (also unusual, being 3 tiers high) is sort of in the middle, so the rows of pews are all facing towards the middle rather than towards the front.

Behind the church is Whitby ...

... to Whitby looking for Dracula’s tombstone forgetting that he is a work of fiction.

Remember the Tour de Yorkshire? Well, we were travelling along its route as we spotted many, many yellow and even some blue bikes along the way. We were all so impressed how each village got behind the event.

Finally, we spotted the seaside! Arriving in Whitby was easy. Finding a carpark, not so! Eventually, we had success with ...
