... would be a pity to kill them. Stopped at Tarr Steps. This is down a narrow winding road to the River Barle where there is a clapper bridge over the river. Legend has it that it was built by the devil to win a bet and you cannot pass when he is sunning himself. We had no problems getting across and going for a nice circular walk up the river and back .
